Finally, after months of badgering from Suzanne, I broke down and actually read it. It is very much a working class accent, phrase common to older generation, and far from sophisticated intelligent or sexy. There was very little plot set up, making it difficult to understand the world this story was taking place in, and even harder to understand the lead character.
She’s even told him how beautiful he is. After all, who doesn’t want to read about a kick-ass half-vampire protagonist who needs to be trained by a sexy vampire bounty vampire? They aren’t really strong enough to adequately to take the story to the next level.

I need to rephrase that. Story-wise, there’s one, but not enough to justify the length. Writing was about average for the genre. I liked the characters and action. The book was fast paced which made me at least listen to the whole thing but it is also the very first audiobook I’ve returned. Looking for beautiful books?
